I have been an artist since the age of 5. I have always felt the 
urgent need to paint.  I am drawn to my community and my 
surroundings in order to capture the essence of the place, the mood
and the atmosphere.

I have approached art as I approach most things, 
immersing myself in the science of space and light. 
I am a plein air painter, creating studies of my subjects, 
while examining the relationships and patterns within nature.  
After many years of having studied technique, 
I find that there is also part of every painting which comes from within.
That is the mystery and the wonder of my art.
