Dahl Taylor’s career has spanned more than 20 years. In that time he has created paintings for illustration projects ranging from Broadway play posters to corporate annual reports. He has painted canvases for commemorative limited edition prints for national memorials in Washington, D.C. and official portraits that include a former N Y State Attorney General and a Federal Bankruptcy Court judge.

 Mr. Taylor’s marine experience includes participation in the Mystic Seaport Maritime Gallery’s international shows for 12 years in a row.  He received the Thomas M. Hoyne, III Award for his painting of Stonington, ME in 2000.  Dahl was part of a two- man show at the Albany Institute of History and Art, which documented the construction of a replica of the schooner “America”. Several of these paintings were featured in the British magazine “Classic Boat”.

Dahl Taylor paintings for Broadway plays include the Tony-nominated ‘Having Our Say’ and a Neil Simon play. He was commissioned to do paintings for limited edition prints for the U.S. Navy Memorial and the National Law Enforcement Officers’ Memorial.

Mr. Taylor has been commissioned to paint many portraits, several for major institutional and corporate collections. His marine, equestrian and landscape paintings are also included in many public as well as private collections. He has shown at numerous galleries, including a one-man show at the Society of Illustrators.

He is a past member of the Society of Illustrators and the Portrait Society of America and is represented by Galleria d’Arte, Banks Gallery, Riverfront Studios and the Mystic Maritime Gallery for fine art
